Following is ideas for day trips from Our Chalet for your family or group. Interlaken

You can visit Interlaken to see Jungfraujoch, the highest railway in Europe, or the spectacular Trummelbach falls or the Schuch chocolatier.

Thun
Take a day visit to the nearbsy scenic town of Thun where you can take a boat cruise, visit a castle and do some shopping.

Bern
You can also visit the capital or Bern to see the bear pits, the botanical gardens or the house of Einstein. 

Niesen
Niesen is a unique mountain also known as the Swiss Pyramid with the Niesenbahn, a carriage on a 3500m endless rope haulage system. For more information visit the website. 

Kandersteg
Why not visit the neighbouring valley of Kandersteg. You can visit the beautiful Oeschinesee Lake and take a tour of the Kandersteg International Scout Centre, more information is available at their website.
