Winter - Rover Week 2009

Experience a Week of Winter Fun in Our Chalet, Switzerland!

Participants: Male and Female registered Guides and Scouts aged 18 to 30 years. People are welcome to attend as individuals or as groups.

Dates: 7 - 15 February 2009

Countries: maximum ten people per country, all countries welcome!

Cost: CHF 399 per person

Day Activities:

Snow Shoeing

A snow shoeing tour of the local area around the base of Bonderspitz led by Our Chalet's own staff members.

Downhill Skiing

Join in three days of skiing at the following areas: Tschenten, Elsigenalp and Silleren. Ski rental and passes included. Groups available for beginners, intermediate and advanced.

Langlauf Skiing

Try classic or skating cross country skiing at Engstlingenalp or Boden village. Ski rental and passes included.

Snow Hiking

Join our hike to the wonderful Engsltigen Waterfall and then enjoy a ride up to the Engstligenalp with a gondola before tubing down a hill! On the way home you can visit Adelboden Town.

Service Project

Join your fellow Rovers in a service project aimed at improving Our Chalet and the local community of Adelboden for the future generations of Guides and Scouts.

Night Activities:

Our Chalet Tour

See Our Chalet's new presentation and take a guided tour through the buildings before seeing what is on offer in the Our Chalet Shop.

Snow Cinema

During the afternoon we will build our very own outdoor cinema in the snow and then relax to enjoy the hard work with a viewing of a movie.

Night Tobogganing

See Our Chalet’s own toboggan tracks at the back of the Chalet.

Night on Adelboden Town

Explore the nightlife of Adelboden on this guided walk to the village hot spots.

‘Our Chalet Rover Ball’

Our Chalet’s annual Rover Ball will be an event open to all Rovers from Switzerland, a night of crazy dancing and fun in formal dress.
