Our Chalet is an exciting place in the Spring and Autumn. Most facilities in the area are open, the Gondolas are still running and Adelboden village is open with many things to discover. Our Chalet has many opportunities for your group of family during there stay such as: hiking, outdoor adventure and day trips in . For more details please contact .  

Our Chalet has many hiking opportunities for your group or family during these quieter seasons. For larger groups we can provide an Our Chalet hiking guide. Why not try some of the following hikes: 

 - TschentenAlp (Discovery Trail) A hike up Tschenten Alp which helps you to learn more about the Forestry industry and how it harmonises with nature through a series of interactive exhibits. This hike is great for people of all ages! (2½ hours one way, 600m climb). More information…

- Hahnenmoos (Floral Mountain Trail): Discover the mountain flora that exists in the Swiss Alps with this informative trail. The trail follows the ridge line from Hahnenmoos to Silleren mountain (1 hour one way, 100m climb). More information…

- Vogellisi Path: A scenic walk up Silleren mountain along a path lined with sculptures from local artists. You can return down the mountain either via the same path, via a scooter or via the gondola. (1¾ hours one way, 490m climb) More information…

- Engstligen Falls: The second highest falls in await you at the end of our valley. From here you can hike up the falls to the Alp or catch the gondola to the top for a view across the valley (1¾ hours one way, 188m climb; hike up falls: 1½ hours, 600m climb).

 - Woodcarvers Walk: Hike to the traditional woodcarvers where you can purchase hand carved objects as a souvenir from Our Chalet or and sample some Swiss delicacies at the neighboring café Blatti (1½ hours one way, 300m climb).

-   ElsigenAlp Hike: Hike to the lovely ski region of ElsigenAlp where you can enjoy the panoramic view of Adelboden or hike to the peak of Elsighorn (2½ hours one way, 300m climb; hike to peak: 1¾ hours, 541m climb)   

 - Bonderspitz Overnight Hike: watch sunrise come up across the Adelboden and Kandersteg valleys from this amazing peak after staying the night at a Cheesemakers Hut (overnight, 1200m climb). Cost CHF 19 per person includes accommodation, breakfast and hot chocolate on arrival!

Outdoor Adventure

 

Paragliding
Adelboden offers excellent opportunities for Paragliding through a local company “Cloud 7”. Launches can be made from various mountains giving a bird’s-eye view of the winter landscape. You will be picked up in the mornings directly from Our Chalet and returned at the end. Costs start from CHF 160.00 per person. Bookings must be made 2-3 days in advance for this activity. Cloud 7 does not operate on Mondays.  
 

Abseiling 
To abseil, hang like a spider on the wall, to be suspended down the rock face and at the same time take in the Cholerenschlucht from a spectacular perspective. This narrow gorge with bubbling waterfalls offers an unforgettable nature experience. Bookings open for Individuals and Groups. Dates: 6. July - 24. Aug. and 28. Sept. - 19. October. Every Thursday from 9:00am - 12:00.

Interlaken 
Or you could visit Interlaken to see Jungfraujoch the highest railway in Europe, the spectacular Trummelbach falls or the Schuch Chocolatier!

Thun
take a day visit to the nearby scenic town of Thun where you can take a boat cruise, visit a castle and do some shopping.

Bern
You can also visit the capital of Bern to see the bear, the botanical gardens, house of Einstein and much more...
