Katie
World Centre Manager

Katie is from Bristol in England where she has studied Psychology and worked within Child Development. She has been a Guide and a Scout in England, which eventually took her to Switzerland 10 years ago to work in an International Scout and Guide setting. As a keen skier and walker, she has returned to the Swiss Mountains as the Manager of Our Chalet and thinks that she has one of the best mountain views from her office window. Katie also loves cheese fondue which is an advantage of working at Our Chalet.


Sarah
Deputy World Centre Manager

Sarah is from Sydney, Australia. She has been involved in Girl Guides since she was seven. Sarah enjoys the outdoors and is keen to ensure opportunities are available for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to try new things and learn new skills. Sarah looks forward to the opportunity and challenges of further developing her recreation and tourism career within WAGGGS at Our Chalet and also taking her Guiding promise into the wider world.

 

Antonia
Deputy World Centre Manager, Programme

Antonia is from Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. Antonia is trained as a Forester and has worked in Africa and Ireland. Recently she has completed her Masters in Mountain Forestry in Vienna, Austria. She has also been a Venturer and staff on Raleigh International Expeditions in Belize and Chile. Antonia loves the mountains and is looking forward to working and living in Adelboden. She hopes to bring her forestry background to her work here!


Marjolein
Office Co-ordinator

Marjolein is from Barendrecht, a small village near Rotterdam in Holland. She has been a member of Dutch Scouting since her 7th birthday. Before joining the Our Chalet team Marjolein was a leader of brownies and disabled Scouts in Rotterdam. She has just finished studying Hotel and Hospitality management and is looking forward to gaining work experience and improving her langauge skills. Marjolein loves to experience Switzerland during all seasons.



Jennamari
Programme Assistant

Jennamari is from Finland and is returning to Our Chalet as the Programme Assistant after working as a Winter Volunteer. Jennamari loves anything and everything about the outdoors and will definitely try anything once! She also loves the theatre and hopes one day to work in the industry. Jennamari is better known as Jensku and has a crazy personality that has earned her the title of chief staff motivator!

 

Kat
Catering Co-ordinator

Kat is from a small town in northern Idaho. She has been a Girl Scout since she was eight years old. She spent three summers as a camp counselor in western Washington state and two years as a leader of all age levels in Miami, Florida. Kat has academic aspirations and spent several years post-grad studying functional and comparative genomics. Kat’s current interests include science, baseball, eating chocolate, cooking for Our Chalet visitors and camping in the rain.
 

Georgina
Office Assistant

Georgina is from Southampton, England. She studied Archaeology and loves museums. She has been involved in Scouting and Guiding since she was seven. She loves to travel and dance, and is looking forward to learning some Swiss German and working as part of an international team.

  

 

 


Skippy Storrow
Our Chalet Cat

Skippy is in charge of all mouse relations. Her duties also include a daily stroll around the grounds and meetings with guests and staff members for a friendly cuddle. She is our most energetic guest greeter, bringing smiles to faces and warmth to laps. She is in great shape, running up and down the mountains with ease, but never straying too far from her home here at Our Chalet.

 
 

Becky
Winter Volunteer

Becky is from Ontario, and has been involved in Guiding for 13 years. She is 18 years old and has just finished high school. Before starting University she is excited to branch away from her parents and learn about other cultures. Becky loves music and history. Becky’s favourite season is winter and she can’t wait to ski on real mountains covered in Swiss snow! 

  

 
 

Carey
Winter Volunteer

Carey is 21 years old from Ohio, .   Carey has been a Girl Scout since she was 5 years old. She attends The Ohio State University where she will be graduating in June with a degree in Turfgrass Science.  In her free time she enjoys watching and playing sports, raising and showing sheep and mowing grass. This is her first time out of her home country and is looking forward to traveling.  Carey is looking forward to learning how to ski, having new adventures, eating lots of chocolate, and learning new languages.   

 
 

Charlotte
Winter Volunteer

Charlotte is from Copenhagen, . She has been a Girl Guide since she was seven. She is involved in international Guide work, as the International Commissioner for her organisation. She has come to Our Chalet to have an international experience, and get friends from all over the world. She loves to ski and she is going to ski as much as possible during the stay in . Charlotte also hopes to practise her English and French skills while at Our Chalet.
