OUR CHALET Theme 2000

	Theme 2001 Focus on Volunteers! Surprise! For those of you who have been watching our website and the updates happening you will notice we have switched themes! While we will always focus on health and fitness on the chalet, we feel that it will be a great addition to our programme to participate the 2001 WAGGGS and UN International Year of the Volunteers theme. The United Nations has proclaimed 2001 as the International Year of Volunteers (IYV2001) and WAGGGS is taking the lead in a global celebration of volunteers. Throughout IYV2001 Wagggs wished to renew the celebration of its own and other volunteers across the world. This Thinking Day we will be participating in activities that will honour the volunteers in this organization as well as those who have made a difference in our lives. Our Chalet will be planning and leading activities this year aimed at celebrating all the volunteers that have made a difference in our lives. Watch this page for updates on what we are doing! Theme 2000 PATHWAYS CONNECTING CULTURES

	In the year 2000 our theme was Pathways Connecting Cultures. We began the BUilding World Citizenship trail as part of this theme and would like to thank everyone for their contributions. In 1998, the theme was based on the Environment topic, and 1999 on the Education topic. So we decided to base the Our Chalet theme for 2000 on Culture and Heritage.
