Single room at Our Chalet

Our Chalet World Centre consists of the Main Chalet, built in 1932, and the Spycher chalet, built in 1999. It also includes several smaller, private chalets within the grounds, as well as a campsite that is open from early summer to autumn.

Within the Main Chalet and the Spycher chalet, bedrooms sleep from one to seven people in single beds and some bunk beds. Bedrooms in the Spycher are wheelchair accessible. Both houses have communal bathrooms and all rooms have magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

The various room types are:

Shared room with bunk beds

With room sizes to meet your needs, these rooms have comfortable beds with towels and bed linen provided, a wardrobe, table and chairs.

Shared rooms sleep three, four, five or seven people.

Male and female bathrooms are not far away, and tea and coffee making facilities are also available at any time.

Dormitory rooms

The cosy main house atticThe main Chalet has a cosy attic dormitory that sleeps up to 18 people on floor-level mattresses - a firm favourite with Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. The Spycher has a second attic dormitory, sleeping up to 6 in single beds.

Squirrel House

Squirrel House

Recently refurbished, Squirrel House can accommodate groups of up to 10 people upstairs and 6 people downstairs, although smaller groups can also make a private booking of the whole house.

Complete with a newly refurbished kitchenette, it is the ideal choice for those who wish to self-cater, but guests also have the option of eating at Our Chalet, providing staff are informed prior to your arrival. The house has en-suite toilet and wash basins, and showers are situated in the main house, just 50 meters away.

Equipped with heating for the colder months, Squirrel House is open all year round.

Baby Chalet

Baby Chalet

Baby Chalet is a small, private chalet-style house, sleeping up to four people with a small kitchen and en-suite bathroom.

Built at the same time as the main Chalet in 1932, it is steeped in Our Chalet history.

Just a couple of minutes walk from the main Chalet complex, and with breathtaking views over the valley, Baby Chalet is the perfect option for any ‘old romantics’. Situated close to the camp site and camp house, this is a popular choice for couples, families and group leaders.

Campsite and ‘Edelweisshütte’ Camp House

Edelweisshütte camp house

Our campsite is open during the warm, summer months for small or large group bookings.

The site includes several new 7-person dome tents, with mattresses provided. A newly developed shower unit and refurbished kitchenette, complete with cooking equipment are available in the adjacent Camp House, which also provides a safe refuge in bad weather.

Groups staying in the campsite or camp house have the option of self-catering or eating at Our Chalet, providing we are informed prior to your arrival.

With spectacular views over the Swiss mountain village of Adelboden, campers are in for a real treat!
