Booking policies

No contract shall exist between the client which expression shall include all persons on whose behalf the client books, and Our Chalet until this booking contract, signed by the client, shall have been returned to Our Chalet with the deposit stated on the contract and a confirmation issued by Our Chalet to the client.

To secure the reservation a deposit is needed. The client’s deposit shall be paid within 1 month of the contract being issued, as per the date marked on the contract, and is non-refundable, unless approved by the Centre.
The deposit required is 30% of the total bill. After a month the reservation will be remove form the system.

Full payment (less any deposit prepaid) by credit or debit card (2% fee), CHF travellers cheque or cash (CHF, US$, £, €) is to be settled during the client’s stay at Our Chalet.  The client who signed the booking contract shall be liable for full payment for all those persons to who the booking contract applied and for any other persons Our Chalet was subsequently requested to book.

Any change by the client to a booking which necessitates a revised booking contract being sent out may incur an amendment fee of CHF40.

In the unlikely event of Our Chalet making a major alteration to or cancelling a booking, Our Chalet shall offer to relocate the client to local accommodation of at least comparable standard and issue a full deposit refund.  Our Chalet shall not cancel a booking within 8 weeks of arrival unless it is for reasons outside its control.

Our Chalet or its employees shall be entitled to recover from the client the cost (estimated if not precisely known) of any damage caused by the client.  The client undertakes to deport her/himself in an orderly fashion and not to disrupt the enjoyment of others on holiday with her/him or to prejudice Our Chalet’s reputation with local businesses or other guests.  The holiday of any client in breach of this clause shall be terminated forthwith and Our Chalet shall have no further contractual obligations towards him.

All baggage and personal effects of a client shall be at all times and in all circumstances at “owner’s risk”. Our Chalet shall not be liable to the client for any loss, damage, injury or extra expense.

No refunds will be made by Our Chalet to a client on unused accommodation and meals, nor programme activities signed up for by a client but not participated in.

In the event of a complaint by a client against Our Chalet we would like you to discuss the matter directly with the Management at Our Chalet.  This generally enables us to sort out the complaint immediately, however, if you feel it necessary to write to us about your problem, please do so within 28 days of your return home.
