Summer is at its warmest and brightest at this time of year here high up on the mountain. All the rooms are full and we could hardly find another place to pitch a tent on the camping ground. Groups from Denmark, Canada, United States and Norway are enjoying the wonderful freshness of summer in the mountains and very busy life in Our Chalet.

Working hard deserves taking a break to think and celebrate our efforts in making Our Chalet experience so special for any guest and staff. And that is why every Summer in Our Chalet we celebrate double, meaning our active celebrations last for two days.

On 31 July we celebrated the 78th birthday of Our Chalet. There was a barbeque, party games, Scouting and Guiding skills sessions and delicious cake shared with all the guests during a colorful international evening. It was a singing, laughing and dancing birthday as only Our Chalet deserves. The day finished on a high with releasing a paper lantern, and promising thoughts of what a new day and the coming year will bring.
