Neighbours Christmas Celebration

Our Chalet commenced its annual Christmas Celebrations with neighbours and friends on Friday 18 December 2009.
With snow falling, guests were welcomed into Our Chalet for snacks and warm drinks. World Centre Manager, Sally Thornton, welcomed all with a message thanking the local community for their ongoing support:
This evening is an opportunity for us to share together and to acknowledge and show how much we appreciate the support and friendship and how much we value living in the Adelboden Community. It is our home and home for a short time for the many Guides and Scouts who come to visit and enjoy all that this beautiful area has to offer. It is a world famous place for Guides and Scouts from around the globe and so very special in our history. Thank you for all the support and friendship you offer. It is much appreciated".

Guests and staff joined in singing Christmas carols, performed plays, musical pieces and readings. The local children creatively decorated gingerbread cookies and lit the candels on the Christmas tree to commence the festive season.
