Our Chalet has over 2,500 Friends in 56 countries worldwide. They are vital to the success of the World Centre and help by:
- promoting Our Chalet,
- giving financial support and
- fundraising for special projects.
Joining the Friends of Our Chalet is the perfect way to support your World Centre from afar.
Why are Friends important?
Donations from the Friends of Our Chalet help us to purchase much needed equipment for the centre and to carry on developing its infrastructure to suit the needs of our guests.
Donations also help to financially assist Girl Guides and Girl Scouts who would otherwise not have the opportunity to visit Our Chalet.
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) acknowledges the continuous support of all our Friends in reaching their aim for the World Centres to be self-financing, thereby not diverting funds from other important worldwide projects.

Join our special 'Adults and Friends' week at Our Chalet from 12-19 September 2004.
This is a special week for adults and Friends of Our Chalet to enjoy walking and hiking, sightseeing trips, cultural events and group activities.

How do I become a Friend?
A simple donation of CHF15 or more will entitle you to become a Friend of Our Chalet for one year.
As a Friend, you will receive a copy of our annual report ‘Chalet Matters’ detailing recent developments and happenings at Our Chalet, along with session dates for the following year.
You will also be part of a growing network of Friends throughout the world. Special weeks for adults and Friends of Our Chalet are held twice each year in Spring and Autumn/Fall.
