Each guest is special to Our Chalet’s small team of staff, who provide a personalised service seven days a week to ensure your holiday runs smoothly. We can arrange your ski hire or ski lessons, advise on local activities and events and even meet you at the station when you arrive. Evening entertainment is organised nightly, and staff provide a childminding and babysitting service so that parents and children alike can enjoy their stay.
Programme Advice and Assistance
Staff at Our Chalet are happy to organise your activity programme, or assist with your independent plans. We have an extensive knowledge of the local area, and the activities on offer. Programme possibilities can be discussed both in advance of and during your stay and itineraries can be specially tailored to suit your family’s needs. A programme information booklet detailing activities and other useful facts about Our Chalet and the surrounding area will be sent to you via e-mail before your visit.

During peak periods in the winter, spring and autumn, a child minding service is offered to our guests to allow parents to participate in daytime activities whilst their young children are looked after by the Our Chalet staff. A babysitting service is also available in the evenings. A small charge is made for both of these services, which can be booked in advance or during your stay.
Our Chalet’s minibus can be booked to transport you and/or your luggage to and from the nearest bus stop on your arrival and departure day. It can also be booked to take you to and from the ski lifts in the winter.
Sit and watch the world go by, or enjoy a chat and a cup of coffee in our cosy lounge on the first floor of the main house. You can also keep in touch with family and friends via e-mail and check the latest news or sporting results in our popular Internet café. The café has three pay-as-you-go guest Internet computers and two free of charge games computers for guest use.
One of the long-standing traditions at Our Chalet is that guests who can already ski can familiarise themselves with Adelboden’s ski pistes under the guidance of an Our Chalet member of staff. Safety considerations are of paramount importance in all the activities we undertake. Accordingly, all staff who accompany guests will have completed a certificated training course before being allowed to work on the mountains.
Our Chalet is pleased to organise a range of evening activities for guests’ enjoyment. Activities will vary according to the interests of guests and the season. Popular evening entertainment includes a Swiss cultural evening, a moonlit walk to a mountain restaurant for ice creams, watching a local ice hockey match or a concert in the village, ice skating, Karaoke, disco, videos, games and, of course, the Chalet’s popular après-ski bar... the T-bar.
Our Chalet has a selection of mountain bikes available for hire so you and your family can explore the local area or challenge yourselves over the network of high alpine cycle trails.
You can make yourself a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate at any time of the day or night in our guest kitchenette.
Our on-site shop sells a range of Our Chalet t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and scarves, as well as postcards, stamps, chocolate, sweets and souvenirs. Ice creams and drinks are also available from reception.
Laundry FacilitiesWe offer the choice of using our guest washing machine and tumble dryer or booking a service wash at reception. We also have a large drying room for damp ski clothes.
